As a Layout Team Lead, you will play a critical role in overseeing and guiding the physical design and layout of analog and mixed-signal IPs and chips for our clients while also actively participating in hands-on layout work yourself. You will lead a dedicated team of layout engineers, ensuring top-quality solutions are delivered efficiently. Your responsibilities will cover all aspects of the layout process, from initial floor planning through to final tape-out. Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of layout design engineers.
  • Actively perform hands-on layout design for complex analog and mixed-signal ICs.
  • Coordinate and manage the layout design and implementation process.
  • Collaborate closely with analog design engineers to understand circuit requirements and layout constraints.
  • Oversee and perform DRC (Design Rule Check), LVS (Layout Versus Schematic), and parasitic extraction (PEX) verification using industry-standard tools (e.g., Siemens Calibre).
  • Optimize layouts for performance, area, and manufacturability, ensuring compliance with semiconductor fabrication processes.
    Conduct design reviews, providing actionable feedback to enhance layout quality.
  • Establish, document, and maintain layout design guidelines, methodologies, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in analog and mixed-signal layout design.
  • Advanced proficiency in industry-standard CAD tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and Siemens Calibre.
  • Experience with FinFET technologies is a plus.
  • Working layout knowledge in high-speed and/or high-performance systems, such as PLLs, ADCs, Tx, and Rx.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to guide and develop team members.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
